3. Personal Data CollectedWOIPS may collect the following data:
• Account and contact information
• Google account information provided when a user connects Google Drive or, when available, chooses Sign in with Google
• User-provided invention and technical text
• Usage data and technical logs (with consent)
4. Purpose of ProcessingPersonal data is processed solely for:
• Providing and maintaining the service provided
• User authentication and support
• Platform functionality and security
5. AI Processing and Training
• User-provided data is not used to train AI models.
• Third-party AI service providers are contractually prohibited from using the data for training or secondary purposes.
6. Data Storage and Retention
• Invention-related data is stored in the user's designated cloud environment.
• WOIPS servers store only essential user account information.
• Data is retained only as long as necessary for service provision or legal compliance.
7. Google API Services and Google User DataConnecting Google Drive is optional and occurs only when a user explicitly chooses to connect a Google account. Sign in with Google will also be optional if and when that feature is made available. WOIPS requests only the minimum permissions needed for the Google feature the user chooses:
• openid and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email are used to verify the Google account and obtain its primary email address for the selected Google Drive connection or Google sign-in.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile (the OpenID Connect profile scope) will be requested only when Sign in with Google is available and WOIPS needs basic profile details such as the user's display name or profile image. This permission is not needed for the current Google Drive connection.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file is used to upload WOIPS export files requested by the user and to access files created by WOIPS. WOIPS does not use this permission to list, read, modify, or delete unrelated files in the user's Google Drive.
For Google Drive, WOIPS uses Google user data only to authenticate the selected Google account, maintain the connection, upload user-requested export files, and show connection or upload status. WOIPS stores the connected account identifier and email address, granted permissions, token expiry information, and OAuth access and refresh tokens. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to the browser.
If Sign in with Google becomes available and a user chooses it, WOIPS will use the Google account identifier and email address—and, only when requested, the user's name and profile image—to create or authenticate the WOIPS account and display basic account information. Google Sign-In does not by itself give WOIPS access to the user's Google Drive files.
Google connection data is retained only while the account remains connected or as required for security or legal compliance. When a user disconnects Google Drive, WOIPS attempts to revoke the Google authorization and deletes the stored connection credentials. Files already uploaded to the user's Google Drive remain under the user's control.
WOIPS does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or use it to train AI models. Google user data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the user-requested feature, protect the service and its users, or comply with applicable law.
WOIPS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
8. Cookies and AnalyticsWOIPS uses cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) only after explicit user consent. Users may manage cookie preferences at any time.
